The 1670 range of inks commemorate the year of the creation of the house of Herbin. The deep and intense colours of the collection are illuminated by shimmering flecks of gold for an elegant finish. All J. Herbin inks are pH neutral, non-toxic, lightfast and only natural dyes are used in their manufacture.

Each bottle cap is hand dipped in sealing wax, with a stamped "1670" seal on the front of the bottle, and is individually packaged in a collector edition box.

Ocean Blue (Bleu Ocean):Blue Purple with gold shimmer

Cyprus Carob (Caroube de Chypre):Burgundy Brown with gold shimmer and green sheen

Chivor Emerald (Emeraude de Chivor): Green-blue ink which has intense red sheen and gold flecks.

Stormy Grey (Gris Orage):Medium-dark grey fountain pen ink with an intense gold shimmer and sheen.

Scarlet Red (Rogue Hematite):Deep Red with gold shimmer

Violet Imperial ( Violet Impérial): Deep violet with gold shimmer and sheen

Magellan Fuchsia (Fuchsia de Magellan):Vibrant Pink with gold shimmer and sheen

Persian Turquoise (Turquoise de Perse): Turquoise ink which has dazzling gold shimmer

Due to the amount of particulate in this ink used to achieve the sparking look, you may experience restricted ink flow in some of your pens. We recommend shaking the ink thoroughly before filling and gently rolling the pen in your hands often to keep the shimmer effect consistent. This will also help prevent clogging. You will also want to be diligent about cleaning and maintaining your pen when using this ink.
